To our exchange partners in Horncastle.

Hello pupils and teachers from Horncastle.

Here is the programme of your stay when you come to visit us, here, in the SouthWest of France.

We hope you'll enjoy it !

 

Saturday & Sunday  October 13 - 14 th

Weekend in the host families.

 

Monday 15 th

9 a.m  Welcome at Saint Etienne with a little breakfast & a welcome speech of Mr Jacquet, our headmaster.

10.30 - Walk through the streets of Cahors to the Pont Valentré ( a three-tower medieval bridge ). Visit of Cahors on the touristic train of the town.

 

 

12.00 - Lunch at the school canteen for everybody.

 

1.30 to 5 p.m.  Visit of the prehistoric painted cave "Pech Merle", then, visit of Saint Cirq Lapopie, a top hill village which was elected, last June "The most beautiful village in france".

 

 

 

Tuesday 16 th

A day in Toulouse.

8.30 a.m to 5 p.m.

Guided visit of the city by students in Tourism of the "Institut Limayrac" school in Toulouse. Picnic and Shopping.

 

 

 

Wednesday:  A day in the Dordogne...

 

8.30 to 5.30 p.m  Guided visit of the "Château de Castelnaud", picnic in the medieval bastide town Domme and ride on a "Gabarre" on the Dordogne river.

 

 

 

 

Thursday: A day in the Quercy...

8.30 a.m. to 3.30 pm.  Visit of the "Gouffre de Padirac" in the morning, picnic in the park and visit of the cliff sided medieval village Rocamadour in the afternoon.

 

 

 

Friday. Back to Cahors.

 

9 a.m The English pupils follow their penfriend in class.

12.00 Lunch.

1.30 p.m. Walk to the Mont saint cirq ( Hill where you can get  panoramic views of the town )

5.30 p.m Aperitif & snack with the teachers and parents.
